Landscape photography tours

For the landscape photographer the highlands of Scotland can compare with anywhere in the world and the quality of light can be magical. From wild landscapes and romantic castles to cliff girt lighthouses we can advise on and get you to the best locations.

You will need to have your own camera, and a tripod is highly recommended. A good selection of lenses is advised as opportunities to capture wildlife often present themselves. I will discuss your trip with you before we decide on the final itinerary which will be entirely down to your choice.

When planning your trip, remember that the winter months offer some of the best photographic opportunities with sunrise and sunset at sensible times, soft light from the low sun most of the day and dark skies a constant feature of the winter in the Highlands. Not forgetting of course the snowy winter landscapes.

Possible locations include:

  • Glencoe, Glen Etive and Rannoch Moor
  • Ardnamurchan and Castle Tioram *
  • Glenfinnan and the road to the isles
  • Skye with the fairy pools and old man of Storr *

Cost: £695 for up to 6 persons for an eight hour photo tour.

*Longer days are by arrangement and I am happy to accommodate sunrise, sunset or dark skies trips
